Sp’akw’us Feather Park: A Community Vision 20 Years in the Making
The District of Squamish and local developer Matthews West are thrilled to announce May 25 as the soft opening of Sp’akw’us Feather Park, a remarkable new addition to the community of Squamish. The culmination of a vision 20 years in the making, the 11-acre municipal-owned park was realized through the dedicated efforts of Matthews West, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation), and the District of Squamish.

Harbour Air Terminal Coming to Oceanfront Squamish
Harbour Air has been working closely with the development team at Oceanfront Squamish to develop a floatplane terminal for the community of Squamish. The terminal is awaiting District of Squamish approval with the intention to begin servicing the community by 2021.

Carbon Engineering Breaks Ground at Direct Air Capture Innovation Centre
Squamish, B.C. (June 11, 2020) – Today, Carbon Engineering Ltd. (CE), a Canadian clean energy company pioneering technologies to remove or reuse carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere, has broken ground on its new Innovation Centre in Squamish, B.C., due to be completed by August, 2021.
