New wayfinding signage has been installed on the Oceanfront. These signs help to direct public safely around site. Please take notice of all erected signs, paying particular attention to areas around street crossings.
A temporary parking lot was constructed on the west side of the temporary road, allowing public to easily park vehicles and access the Cattermole and Blind Chanel beaches by foot. Public trails are highlighted on the map at this location. Following new signage and using the temporary parking will help ensure public safety and keep the flow of traffic away from the construction.
Construction of the Main Road and material hauling continues, resulting in increased truck traffic on site. Main Road construction is anticipated to finish in early September, while material hauling will stretch into the fall 2021. Matthews West thanks the community for their support and consideration of the ongoing changes on the Oceanfront Squamish site.
